Description
A religious beeswax candle decorated with an image of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, and handmade in the MYGRACE workshop. It is a meaningful keepsake for important moments in family life and for anyone who appreciates carefully crafted objects made from natural materials.
The candle is made from natural beeswax, with the color and texture characteristic of this material. Beeswax naturally carries a soft, warm scent with notes reminiscent of honey.
The depiction of Jesus as the Good Shepherd, shown alongside little lambs, is set into the surface of the candle, making it a decorative religious candle of special significance.
The Symbolism of the Good Shepherd
The Good Shepherd is one of the most meaningful images in Christianity, portraying Jesus as the shepherd who guides and protects his flock. The lambs shown beside Him are part of this symbolism and evoke care, protection and guidance.
The image conveys faith, love, care and protection, making this candle an object of religious significance to keep at home or to give to someone dear.
A Candle for Meaningful Moments
The Jesus, the Good Shepherd candle can be kept as a symbolic object or used at important moments in the Christian calendar. It is well suited, for example, to the Easter Vigil, the Easter holidays or the Christmas season, when candlelight becomes part of an atmosphere of prayer, reflection and celebration.
Made from natural beeswax and handcrafted in the MYGRACE workshop, it is also a thoughtful choice for anyone who wishes to keep an object of religious significance at home.
Natural Beeswax
We choose beeswax for its natural appearance, its distinctive texture and the beauty that each handmade piece takes on.
Each candle may show slight variations in color, texture and finish. The shade of the wax can range from pale yellow to warmer golden or amber tones, depending on the batch and its natural characteristics.
These differences are not defects; they are part of the character of a product made from a natural material.
A Handmade Religious Candle
At MYGRACE, every candle is made in our own workshop, with careful attention to shape, detail and finish.
Because the process is artisanal, every candle is slightly different, and the piece you receive may have small particularities compared with the product photo.
It is a fitting choice for anyone looking for a religious beeswax candle, a candle depicting Jesus, the Good Shepherd, or a symbolic object handmade in Romania.
Why Beeswax?
Beeswax is appreciated for:
- its natural origin;
- its characteristic color and texture;
- its subtle, natural scent of honey and wax;
- its slow burn, when the candle is used correctly;
- the warm, authentic look it gives handmade pieces.
By choosing beeswax, we preserve as much of the material's natural beauty and character as possible.

Use & Care Guide
Correct use:
- Before each lighting, shorten the wick to approximately 5 mm to avoid excessive smoke and uneven burning.
- When using for the first time, let the candle burn long enough for the top layer of wax to melt evenly (to the edges), to prevent tunneling.
- Do not leave the candle burning for more than 3–4 hours at a time.
- Extinguish the candle when approximately 5 mm of wax remains and do not relight it.
Decorative elements:
- Remove all flammable decorative elements before lighting (dried flowers, bows, etc.).
- If there are embedded dried flowers, they can be carefully removed (e.g. with a spatula) after the top layer of wax begins to melt.
Safety:
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep candles away from children and pets.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 10 cm between lit candles.
- Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface (we recommend a ceramic tray).
- Avoid drafts (open windows, air conditioning), as they can cause uneven burning or dripping.
- Do not move the candle while it is burning or while the wax is liquid.
Storage:
- Store candles in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
- Avoid high temperatures to prevent warping or melting.
Helpful tips for a better experience:
- Use a snuffer to avoid smoke and splashing wax.
- If black smoke appears, the wick is too long - extinguish the candle, trim the wick and relight.
- Keep the wax clean, free of debris (matches, burnt wick, etc.).
